4 May, 2024, Kochi, Kerala

Dear Priyanka

We are delighted to inform you that the first-ever Midwives for Women Summit is being organised in Kerala. This is a platform to discuss the far-reaching impact of midwifery care and how together we can work to make collaborative model of care accessible to birthing families in our country. The aim is to foster dialogue, share insights and discuss solutions.

The summit will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops covering a range of topics including:

  • Advancements in Midwifery Care
  • Maternal Health Initiatives
  • Reproductive Health Access and Rights
  • Understanding What Women Want from Maternity Care
  • Addressing Disparities in Healthcare Delivery

The government of India has taken some crucial steps to bring midwifery care back for birthing women in our country. This is a time of great change and an opportunity to transform how women receive maternity care and Birthvillage is honored to initiate this discussion.

You have been an inspiration for the millions and have been a voice of support for motherhood. We need strong names to stand up so women’s voices are heard. Because they matter for the generations that are yet to come.

We will be pleased to have you join us to facilitate a vibrant conversation as a part of the panel discussion on:

It takes courage to empower women to ask them what they want. It takes courage to answer that question.

Furthermore, this summit provides an excellent opportunity for networking and forging new partnerships with like-minded professionals and organisations committed to advancing women’s health and well-being.

Please respond to this communication latest by 2nd April ‘24. We do hope you will agree to join us and make this very real push for midwifery care, a success.
